Jeanne is an artist living in north Georgia. She specializes in folk and decorative art made from discarded and recycled materials, sold under her brand, Kings Bench Creations.
Born in Boston, Jeanne grew up in Massachusetts and pursued her love of art through study and practice. She received her B.A. in art from Regis College, sold fine art in The Artique Gallery in Natick, Massachusetts, represented local Georgia artists via an online web gallery she created, and managed a successful corporate career in retail store design for several nationwide retail chains. She wound down her corporate career in 1996 to become a full-time mom to her son, Zachary. With Zachary now in high school, Jeanne has returned to creating original art.
The inspiration for her artwork comes from the wondrous plants and animals she observes in the woods, lakes, rivers and farmland of north Georgia, as well as childhood memories from the beaches of Cape Cod.
Jeanne’s hobbies include photography, reading, Bridge, tennis, and fishing. For 20 years, she’s been married to Richard, who occasionally lends a hand in the Kings Bench Creations workshop.
